Macrophotography, also called photomacrography, is a type of close-up photography at extreme levels, usually of very small objects and beings, in which the size of the subject in the photograph is much larger than the size of real life (although it technically refers to macrophotography as the art of taking large photographs). According to some definitions, a photomacrograph is one in which the size of the subject on the image sensor or negative is life-size or larger.
