Along with the new features of the new operating systems, Apple presented Apple Intelligence during WWDC 2024, a set of functions based on artificial intelligence that include, among others, the integration of ChatGPT. However, to access these features you will have to wait a few months and, in its initial release, there will be a waiting list.
As indicated by MacRumors, the iOS 18 code shows references to the fact that the features within Apple Intelligence will not be released to everyone at first, but that it will be necessary to sign up for a waiting list. Not only that, but to sign up for the waiting list you will also have to wait a few months.
Don’t expect to see Apple Intelligence features anytime soon
Specifically, references to Graymatter have been found in the iOS 18 code. In fact, the references are the following: “Join the Graymatter Waiting List” and “Joined Waitlist”, which could be translated as “Join the Graymatter Waiting List” and “You have joined the waiting list”.
Although the first preview of these features will be during the summer, not all of them will be available and it will be necessary to sign up for a waiting list. However, let’s remember that this is a beta and its code can indicate both functionalities that will be implemented and others that have simply been tested.
Let’s also remember that not all devices will be compatible with these functions. The company confirmed yesterday during WWDC 2024 that the following devices will be supported:
- iPhone 15 Pro Max.
- iPhone 15 Pro.
- iPad Pro with M1 and later.
- iPad Air with M1 and later.
- MacBook Air with M1 and later chips.
- MacBook Pro with M1 and later.
- iMac with M1 and later chips.
- Mac mini with M1 and later.
- Mac Studio with M1 Max and later.
- Mac Pro with M2 Ultra.
Apple Intelligence will incorporate features such as the creation of custom emojis, the removal of objects in the Photos app, the integration of ChatGPT 4 for free and with paid functions for subscribers, and an improved Siri. For now, the only thing we can do is wait for this whole new AI system to be rolled out from the company.
