- Google wanted to block its AI in Safari and the reason won’t surprise you
- The new Siri experience won’t be released until 2025
Apple has no plans to integrate Apple Intelligence into the HomePod; instead, it prioritizes the integration of its new Artificial Intelligence into the Vision Pro, its first space computer. A device that does have enough memory to run this new system, one of the main requirements for Apple Intelligence to work well.
Apple Intelligence will only be compatible with iPhone 15 Pro and above or with iPads or Macs that have an M1 processor or higher. The aforementioned devices not only have the necessary power, but also the RAM. Something that Apple Vision Pro also fulfills.
Apple Vision Pro will also have Apple Intelligence, but not this year
In the latest installment of its Power On newsletter, analyst Mark Gurman has indicated that the company with the bitten apple is working on integrating Apple Intelligence into the Vision Pro, but that it will not be this year, but in 2025. On the other hand, the HomePod will not have the same luck, since it is not possible to integrate these functions.
But it’s not all bad news, as instead of bringing Apple Intelligence to the HomePod, the Bloomberg analyst expects the company to focus on an entirely new robotic device with a display that includes Apple Intelligence. Trying to bring Apple Intelligence features to HomePod would be a waste of time.
Mark Gurman also believes that Apple’s artificial intelligence will become increasingly important in the company’s devices and even in its business. In fact, Apple Intelligence is expected to be updated very often with new features, at least as often as operating systems or products like the iPhone do, which have an annual update cycle.
Although you can understand the reasons, when Apple Intelligence is a reality on the iPhone, users who can enjoy it will find themselves in a strange situation in which they will have to live with two completely different assistants. On the one hand, they will have the usual Siri and on the other, the new Siri.
