Do you have an Apple Watch and like to run? On June 5, Apple has a challenge for you

Apple to Celebrate World Running Day with a New Activity Challenge

Apple has a challenge for you
On June 5, Apple will hold a new activity challenge

If you have an Apple Watch and you like to run, you’re in luck because on June 5, Apple will hold a new activity challenge to commemorate World Running Day. A challenge in which you must complete a race to get the challenge’s signature medal, which will be saved in the Fitness app, as well as stickers for the Messages app.

This is not the first activity challenge we have had this year, as several have already been held, such as starting the year on the right foot, the month of the heart, or World Meditation Day that was celebrated in May. This time, it’s a little more complex than the other times, but it’s still a motivation to be able to complete it.

If you want to complete the challenge, you’ll have to run 5 km

To complete the World Running Day challenge, you’ll need to log a workout of at least 5km on the road, trail, track, or treadmill. Once the required kilometers have been completed, the relevant medal will be earned and saved in the Fitness app.

Workout can be tracked using the Workout app on Apple Watch or any app that supports and can log data in the Health app. This means you’re not limited to the native app; Almost all sports apps can be used.

This time, it’s a little more complex than other challenges we’ve had this year, which were based on doing half an hour of exercise. However, this time you have to run 5 km, which is perhaps a little less accessible. Nonetheless, it is still a motivating incentive for both more experienced and novice runners to complete it.

So now you know, if you have an Apple Watch and enjoy running, on June 5, Apple has a new challenge for you. A very good way to warm up for what’s coming next week at WWDC 2024.
