HTC’s new mobile will be presented next week

After presenting last month the HTC A101 Plus Edition, a new 10.95-inch tablet, Unisoc processor and Android 14, the Taiwanese company still has more surprises to give us this year. The next to arrive will be its new smartphone, the third to be launched after the return to the present of the brand, which will also take over from last year’s HTC U23.

This is HTC’s new flagship in 2024: specifications and release date

Although the name of HTC’s new mobile phone is not yet confirmed, all rumors suggest that it will be called HTC U24 Pro and that it will go straight to the mid-range smartphones. The device has appeared in the Geekbench performance test under the HTC 2QDA100 model, where it is revealed that it will have the latest version of Google’s operating system, Android 14, 12 GB of RAM and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor, which will be an improvement over the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 that equipped the previous generation.

Launch poster for HTC new phone which will be released on June 12

If we look at the launch poster that HTC has shared, in addition to the release date, we can also see a photograph of the mobile in profile. The device appears lying down and showing only one side, and although we cannot draw great conclusions from its design, it serves to give us an idea of what its camera module will be like and to confirm that the power button and volume controls will be on the right side of the smartphone.

On the other hand, the new phone was also seen in the Google Play Console database, discovering that it will have a screen with FHD+ resolution (2,436 x 1,080 pixels) and that it enjoys Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity. In addition, it is expected to retain the OLED panel, the 120 Hz refresh rate and the IP67 rating for dust and splash water resistance, leaving us with the doubt of whether it will have more battery capacity than the 4,600 mAh of its predecessor.

As confirmed by the company itself on its official Facebook account, the new HTC U24 Pro will be presented on Wednesday, June 12 at 8:00 a.m. in Taiwan, so in less than a week we will be able to know all the details of this smartphone. Undoubtedly, the one that was once one of the most famous smartphone manufacturers in the world, is trying to make a place for itself in the market again.
