OnePlus launched a new budget mid-range smartphone, which stands out for the impressive brightness of its screen and the ultra-fast charging of 80 W. Precisely, this last piece of information is where we are going to stop, because it turns out that the OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite 5G does not include everything we need to enjoy that promising charging speed, capable of charging it to 100% in about 50 minutes.

If you enter the OnePlus website, its new terminal appears at the top of the cover, and you will only have to click on “Book now” and scroll down the description to find the same as us. In the section called “What’s in the box?”, the manufacturer breaks down all the products that are included with the purchase of the mobile: a USB-A to USB-C cable, a SIM extractor, a OnePlus Red Cable Club card and the typical instruction manuals that we find in any device, but no sign of the charger.
The curious thing about this is not that the package comes without the included adapter, something that many phone brands have already accustomed us to, but it is strange that in some markets they do include it and in others they do not. Thanks to Android Authority, an independent website specialized in the Android world, we have been able to learn that the Indian model does keep the charger in the box, while the European and British variants do not.
In the purchase process, you can add add-on packages that enjoy up to 30% discount. Here we find the OnePlus SUPERVOOC 80W type A power adapter, in white, which you can add to the cart for a reduced price of 27.99 euros. Of course, the Chinese company allows the buyer to choose between several gifts: OnePlus Nord Buds 2 headphones in white or gray, valued at 69 euros, and a black protective case whose original price is 19.99 euros.
Although this may be a bit disappointing for users, this practice is becoming more and more common among phone brands, and it is no exception in the Chinese company. In fact, it’s not the first time OnePlus has recalled a phone charger only in some regions, for example the OnePlus 12R does not include an adapter in the Philippines, Malaysia and Singapore.
