We already have a date for the presentation of Qualcomm’s next top processors. The Californian company has been the one that has confirmed the date on its official website, and it will take place from the 21st to the 23rd of next October next year. During these days, the successor to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will be announced, which has also had time to surprise locals and strangers.
With the date of the Snapdragon Summit, the conference in which the company announces all its new products, already established, apart from the expected Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, it remains to be seen what else Qualcomm will bring. But, above all, there is a lot of expectation to see if the new processor for the high-end will be able to meet what the leaks indicate.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, all the information
The chip will be, as always, manufactured by TSMC with a 3nm lithography and will include custom Oryon cores. The arrangement of this processor will not place the cores in the 1 + 3 + 4 shape of the current generation, but it is said that it will be following the 2 + 6 shape. Apparently, the design of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 does not include efficiency cores.
From what can be guessed from those numbers, there will be two high-performance cores that will be able to reach clock speeds of up to 4 GHz and that, supposedly, have managed to reach 3,000 points in Geekbench’s single-core tests. In multicore tests they have reached 10,000 points.
In addition, this new chip is expected to arrive with an improved CPU architecture and with a memory and cache compression system that helps in performance. It is said that, with these improvements, this processor is capable of running games like Genshin Impact without overheating problems and maintaining a stable frame rate for 45 minutes. Be careful, it’s not nonsense.
Likewise, Xiaomi is expected to announce the Xiaomi 15 shortly after, a phone that we remember has already been leaked in full.
