Ranking of the movies with the most mentions in X to watch tonight
The list of the productions that have caused the most impact among the community of X users, formerly Twitter.

X (formerly Twitter) has become one of the most used platforms by Internet users in recent years for various reasons such as the ease of making communities, for the publication of messages in real time and because through the site you can locate the most talked about topics of the moment, so it is also a meter on how much impact certain titles of series and movies have.

With more than 300 million users, more than 65 million tweets are generated daily and 800 thousand search requests are made, so appearing in the trending box on Twitter guarantees notoriety – for better or for worse – and, in the case of entertainment, that more people show interest in playing a certain production.

Although in the new digital age it could be easy to get lost among so many novelties, the trends of X – which will always be characterized by the use of the famous hashtags – can be a guide on which titles are trendy and unmissable.

The trends of X, a meter

Although X has been called the SMS of the internet because of its messages that allow a maximum of 280 characters (originally 140 characters), this is not the only thing to which the success of the social network is attributed, but also the trends.

It was in 2008 when the platform launched this tool and the company’s co-founder, Jack Dorsey, described it as the “evolution of morning information”, because while before a person was aware of the most important news by reading the newspapers or watching morning news, now the trends blog gave X users a glimpse of what was considered important at a given time.

With that first glance, the path was formed that allowed one to “explore” a certain topic of interest, not only seeing the opinions of others, but also participating in the conversation.

Nowadays it is possible to see trends or trending topics at a national and global level.

According to the X page, trends are determined by an algorithm and by default are personalized according to the accounts you follow, your interests, and your location. This algorithm identifies topics that are popular at any given time, rather than those that have been popular for a while or daily, to help you discover the most recent ones that are being discussed.
