On July 10, Samsung will hold the second Galaxy Unpacked of 2024 in the French city of Paris, an event in which the Korean brand will present its new smartwatches, the Galaxy Watch7, Galaxy Watch Ultra and Galaxy Watch FE, and its fifth generation of foldable terminals, which will consist of two models: the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6.

Over the last few weeks, rumors have not stopped coming to us about Samsung’s new foldable phones and, so, after the design of the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 was revealed after their first official images appeared on the firm’s website in Kazakhstan, now Samsung itself has confirmed that its new foldables will have new AI features.

New AI features for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6

As Droid Life recently told us, Won-joon Choi, EVP and head of the Mobile R+D office at Samsung Electronics, published a post on the company’s blog in which he confirms that the new Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6 will include new Artificial Intelligence features.

Won-joon Choi explains that the addition of Galaxy AI, Samsung’s suite of AI features, to the Galaxy S24 was just the beginning and that they are working to include new AI-based features in their upcoming foldable handsets, the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6:

“The introduction of Galaxy AI in the Galaxy S24 series was just the beginning. To deliver an entirely new and unique AI experience, we’re further optimizing the Galaxy AI experience for upcoming foldable devices. Our foldable devices are Samsung Galaxy’s most versatile and flexible form factor and, when combined with Galaxy AI, these two complementary technologies will unlock all the new possibilities.”

This is a logical move on Samsung’s part, as the Korean firm’s goal is for 100 million Galaxy mobile users to have access to Galaxy AI by the end of 2024 and to achieve this it needs to bring AI to its future foldable smartphones.
