If you are a fan of video games and closely follow the news around this industry, you will already know that the Yacht Club Games Presents 2024 recently took place, the event held by the developers of the iconic indie 2D platform game Shovel Knight, which over time received different versions and new games. In this presentation, the company left us with many interesting news, such as a remaster of the original title and the development of a new installment, but this was not the only thing and the proposals that can be enjoyed from our mobiles also starred in part of the event.
When we talk about Shovel Knight games that can be played from our smartphones, we are talking about Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon and Shovel Knight Dig. Both games made headlines at the last event because it was stated that each will receive their respective new free DLC this summer. Therefore, here we are going to talk about these ads and the details surrounding them.

Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon and Shovel Knight Dig will receive new free DLC this summer
To begin with, we can talk about Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon, which will receive its new DLC, Paradox Pack, this summer on all available platforms and for free. Obviously, among those platforms, the game is available for Android and iOS mobile devices, and at no cost to Netflix subscribers. Therefore, from our mobiles, and without paying anything, we will be able to enjoy all the news that this proposal from Yacht Club Games is about to receive.
This Paradox Pack will add two new characters (The Enchantress and Chester), new stages (The Lost City and Explodatorium), new relics and items, as well as new secret adventures and tricks. Additionally, it was also said that the PC version will feature mod support, allowing players to share their mods on the Steam Workshop and download those released by others. Beyond this DLC, they also revealed that a final update will be released later that will add support for online battles.
In the case of Shovel Knight Dig, its new free DLC will be Wicked Wishes and it will arrive on all versions of the title, which can currently be played from PC and Nintendo Switch, as well as on macOS, iPadOS and iOS devices through Apple Arcade. It was also announced that the game will have versions for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S (still without an exact or expected release date), which will also have the aforementioned downloadable content.
This Wicked Wishes will feature level generation improvements, fixes for a lot of bugs, translation fixes, and other improvements. Now, the highlight of this DLC will begin in the Hoofman’s Guild Hall, “a secret hideout where elite quest seekers and their illustrious backers converge! Rise through the ranks within the guild by taking on its exciting challenges,” as they indicate in the description of the trailer on YouTube.
“Collect powerful relics and upgrades, face off against new bosses and enemies, and unravel the mysteries surrounding the impeccably dressed horse and its main adventurer, the Guildarch. But be careful what you wish for, perverse consequences await you in the well,” they add. Additionally, it was also revealed that this DLC will be the last content for the game, released in 2022.
With all this said, it only remains to remember that both Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon: Paradox Pack and Shovel Knight Dig: Wicked Wishes will arrive for free on the platforms where these games are available this summer, although for now the exact date on which these DLCs will arrive in their respective titles is unknown.
