The rumors seem to be true, soon you will be able to change the color of WhatsApp chats. Of course, this won’t be possible on Android. The novelty that Meta’s messaging app is working on would only be aimed at iPhones. It has been thanks to WABetaInfo that it has been possible to know in full how it would work.
Despite the fact that WhatsApp has been a recurring scam over the last few years, Meta seems to be willing to make this a reality. It’s possible that the decision will come to prevent users from downloading apps that promise to change the color of WhatsApp conversations.
Now, WhatsApp will allow users to change the color of conversations or, at least, that’s what has been known in the latest beta version of the iOS app. When installing WhatsApp 24.10.10.71 for iOS, users have found a new personalization section within the conversation settings.
Colorful WhatsApp will be a reality for iPhone users
This section allows users to theme conversations, the appearance of message bubbles will now have several colors: green, black, red, blue and violet. Until now, the only color available for conversations was the app’s signature green, which has been more present since WhatsApp’s redesign.
It will be up to users to choose the theme they want to use on WhatsApp, although it remains to be seen if more color options will be added over the next few months. Of course, we will also have to keep an eye out if this feature makes it to the stable version of the application.
At the moment, only some users in the WhatsApp beta have been able to change the color of conversations. The vast majority have not yet had access to this new feature, so it may be being tested on a small group of users.
While you can change the topic of conversations, this will only affect users who change the topic. The other side of the conversation will not be affected and will maintain the topic of their origin. At the moment, there is no more information regarding this novelty so we will have to be attentive to all the information that arises about this approach to having WhatsApp of colors.
