We have known for some time now that Carl Pei wants to better compartmentalize the Nothing catalog by dedicating the efforts of the parent company to a more premium sector with a higher profit margin. The popular manager and entrepreneur born in Beijing, China, knows how to do it, because a few months ago Nothing presented us with its CMF sub-brand to focus on the cheapest and most affordable cuts in the industry.

And this will be, precisely, the key to the first CMF by Nothing smartphone that is already in the oven finishing its cooking, as the British manufacturer and its great handling of the media machinery have already informed us of an imminent presentation, which will take place next Monday, July 8, in anticipation of Samsung’s Unpacked.
Coming from Carl Pei we already know that there will be a lot of hype around, numerous official leaks and a design focus of the device that will undoubtedly be focused on offering the maximum at the best price, already having information about some details of the hardware and now also with certain lines of an aspect that we can already see in its first images.
It has been the popular leaker Ishan Agarwal who has published three photographs on his X account, formerly Twitter, showing some details of the finish of this CMF by Nothing Phone 1 with the high reliability that characterizes his publications:
We see that there will be a lot of color, and although we do not know yet if you will be able to choose from a wide palette of colors, we can already confirm that there will be at least orange and black tones, with a polycarbonate finish that resembles good quality and a touch of very modern industrial design that I certainly liked.
In addition, leaks can also be confirmed that indicated a rear photographic module with dual sensors, along with a front camera that is located centered behind a hole in the screen that will also hide the fingerprint reader.
CMF by Nothing Phone 1, everything we know
The lines are minimalist, leaving the surprises for the hardware, especially because of a very solvent datasheet and a quality/price ratio that is unbeatable.
A 6.67-inch AMOLED display is expected that offers FHD+ 1,080p resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate, MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset, 6 or 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage, which will be expandable with microSD cards.
They also tell us about a 50-megapixel main camera supported by an additional sensor that will calculate the depth, a 16-megapixel front camera and a 5,000 mAh battery with fast charging of up to 33 watts via cable.
There are not many frills, but all this is expected to present a knockdown price that according to sources would be around 200 euros depending on markets and tariffs… Now it only remains to confirm it in a few days!
