Apple is constantly looking for technological solutions. After the announcement of the arrival of artificial intelligence on its devices, it continues to develop projects for its users and one of them is domestic robots.
A few months ago, the company was forced to make a difficult decision: to cancel its electric car project, despite the investment made in its development. However, the company led by Tim Cook is looking for new opportunities in the emerging and promising market of home robotics, in which other brands already have experience from years ago.
According to Bloomberg reports, Apple is preparing the ground to launch a line of robots designed for home use and to achieve this it has experienced personnel, such as former Google employees.

Apple Toward Home Robotics
The field of robotics has been advancing rapidly in recent years, with multiple manufacturers dabbling in smart home solutions and increasingly affordable costs.
Mark Gurman, a well-known technology journalist with sources inside Apple, has reported that the firm is preparing to launch a new line of home robots. This strategic move has been motivated in part by a desire to diversify the company’s revenue streams following the cancellation of the electric vehicle project.
One of the key names behind this new foray into robotics is John Giannandrea, a former Google engineer known for his work on Siri and the Apple Car project. His experience and leadership plays a fundamental role in the success of this new division within Apple.
Giannandrea is leading the effort from the company’s hardware engineering group and the artificial intelligence and machine learning group. This suggests that Apple’s robots will not only be mechanical devices, but will also integrate advanced AI to improve interaction with users and adapt to their environment.
Although specific details about the products have yet to be fully revealed, the company’s first home robots are expected to be smaller, more functional devices, similar in concept to Amazon’s Arlo. These robots could include an iPad-like display mounted on a robotic arm, allowing users to interact with them more intuitively.
According to Gurman, these early models could be designed to follow users around the home, offering basic assistance and entertainment functions. This initial approach could serve as a springboard for more ambitious projects in the future, such as more complex and capable humanoid robots.
To reach this goal, Apple has to overcome several challenges faced by current companies in the sector. Problems such as navigating spaces full of furniture and safely interacting with humans in dynamic environments continue to be obstacles that have slowed down developments.
The key point to achieve this will be the integration of the Apple Intelligence system, the company’s AI functions, to adapt the concept that the company’s products always have to this type of product that must be easy to use and give advantages over conventional devices.
The creation of a line of intelligent robots is also Apple’s goal to find “the next big thing,” which demonstrates the level of innovation, something that has been an obsession since the Steve Jobs era.
But it’s become harder to imagine a product that can ever match the iPhone, which accounted for 52% of the company’s $383.3 billion in sales last year. Something that seemed to be possible for the Apple Car, but now seems to point to home robotics.
