In an article he wrote for the Bored Panda website, David Tesinsky recounted his experience of his time spent in Japan and the impression he had of the Japanese, mainly in relation to working hours and physical fatigue, a phenomenon apparently common and visible in many workers in that country.

Through a photographic series that conveys a lot of information, Tesinsky presents us with a Japan full of tired workers, capable of lying down anywhere to fall asleep and rest a little. These are people who come from a working day of up to 14 hours a day – even more when the need exists.
And still exhausted, they find a moment to go out with their friends for a happy hour and, when they can’t make it home after a night of drinking, they end up falling asleep in the same subway stations. Take a look at the images below.

At least the Japanese can sleep on the streets safe in the knowledge that they will not be robbed, kidnapped or, in the worst case, killed.
