Keyboard shortcuts are the most effective solution to access all the useful functions and features of the system by combining two or three keys. This way, you’ll be able to use your computer much faster. Windows has an infinite number of keyboard shortcuts, and the vast majority of these we have previously recommended to you in here.
21 Must-Have Shortcuts for Windows
In this article, we wanted to compile some of the best keyboard shortcuts proposed by the Reddit community based on this recent post. Many of them are essential and will help you save a lot of time, so we recommend that you take note in case there are any that you have missed. Below we leave you with them.
- Windows + L: Blocks access to your Windows session and makes it easy for you to switch users.
- Windows + Shift + arrows (left or right): Move the active window to another monitor, if there is one, to the left or right of your primary monitor.
- Windows +.: Opens the emoji pane.
- Windows + V: is used to open the clipboard if you have activated it in Settings. This way you can choose the text you want to paste from everything you’ve copied before.
- Windows + Shift + S: Take a screenshot by selecting the region using the snipping tool.
- Windows + numbers: This is how you can interact with all the icons you have on the taskbar. This way you can quickly access File Explorer or your trusted browser if you have its icon in the bar.
- Windows + D: Hides open apps and shows the desktop. If you hit it again, the same windows you had open will open.
- Shift + Delete/Delete: Permanently deletes the file or folder without going through the recycle bin.
- CTRL + A: Select all in the browser.
- CTRL + E: Select all in any location on your operating system or word processor.
- CTRL + P: Prints the currently open active window or page.
- CTRL + W: Closes a browser window or tab.
- CTRL+T: Opens a new tab in the browser.
- CTRL + Shift + T: restores a previously closed tab in the browser.
- Windows + P: Windows + P: Open the menu to cast the screen to another device or panel.
- CTRL + Shift + Enter: CTRL + Shift + Enter: Run any application with administrator privileges.
- Windows + E: Windows + E: Open file explorer.
- CTRL+F: Search for any word in the browser.
- CTRL+B: Search for any word in Word or another word processor.
- Alt + Tab: Jump between open system windows.
- CTRL + Shift + ESC – Opens the Task Manager.

Logically, these are not all the shortcuts that Windows offers us, and neither do those such as CTRL + C, CTRL + V, CTRL + X or CTRL + Z for copying, pasting, cutting and undoing, respectively.
